My mom, guest artist Patti Reen, drew these Zentangle-inspired creations on free-use patterns from the Zentangle website.

The drawings are done on thick cardstock with a black marker.

Then, Mom attached the drawings to these square slate coasters (about 4”x4”) and coated each with a triple coat of waterproof, dishwasher-safe Mod Podge (affiliate link). This means the artwork is well protected should a drink spill or create a lot of condensation.

The coasters have four rubber feet in the corners on the backside, protecting your tables from any scratches caused by the slate. You could even attach a hanger to the back and hang one on the wall for decoration. They’re so cool and unique!

The names of the available items have nothing to do with any patterns or anything. I named them based on what the image reminded me of or made me think about when I saw it. Each coaster is one-of-a-kind and signed by the artist.
